We hold a $day sale, once a yeat in November. We are a "blended" show without individual booths and have one checkout. We have become awarc of the new ordinance prohibiting non-compostable plastic bags. We are very concerned about the cost of replacing all of the plastic bags we have in our supplies. We would like to apply for an exemption due to the following: 1. We hold our sale only once per year. 2. Purchasing all new, compostable plastic or paper bags will be very expensive, 3 to 5 times more than the 5c Per bag we would be required to charge. 3. Our members would have to absorb the cost of replacing all of our bags. While we appreciate the importance of conservation and reuse and prohibiting thin film non- compostable plastic bags, it puts a hardship on our group and we respectfully reqtrest an exemption to the ordinance for our once per year event. Thank you. Sincerely, /(z,t /4,L Nanry | Chrisknas Cottage member 818 N Bar Rd. PortAngeles, WA98362 nancyjS6@gmail.com April17,2078
