High School coordinator) and Tad Price (President of the Peninsula International Relations Association, PIRA) we would like to invite you to join us. Our Sister City, Mutsu City, Japan, will basending their TmnabuHigh School English class to Port Angeles on October 1 1th - 15th. This 23 plus year tradition has been a very rewarding program for Port Angeles. 40 students will have the opportunity to embrace family life in our host family homes and two teachers, the vice-principal and a travel agent will stay at the Red Lion. Arrival will be at the Port Angeles High School 6:15 - 6:30, they will be welcomed by the Host families, the NJROCT, Band members and cheer leaders. We would encourage you to come to the informal greeting, there will bea group photo and the students will depart with their families about 7:00 p.m. Friday the group with their host students will visit Victoria B.C., upon their return many will venture out toBequimfor the football game between our two High Schools. Saturday there will be an "Explore downtown Bingo game" that many of the students and host families will participate in. Saturday night there will be Halloween party and game night potluck at the Port Angeles library beginning at 6:30. Ten to midnight there will be Cyber Bowling ($6.00) mtLaurel Lanes. Sunday from 5-7there will beaFarewell Dessert Gathering atthe PAHScafeteria. NJROTC color guard will present to start; Tanabu will each share traditional Japanese games (Kendama and Karuta) and demonstrate calligraphy. Tanabu students will share favorite memories and Port Angeles School District, City of P.A. and Tanabu High School representatives will have the opportunity togive ashort speech. Monday the students will attend first and second period then QntoJefferson Elementary School tomeet with pen pals and share Japanese culture. Students will then return tothe High School for class and eat lunch.
