Re: Annual Electrical Block Permits,PANIC 14.05.140.13
Dear Ruairi,
Port Angeles Hardwood's annual electrical block permit, issued by the City of Port Angeles,expires June 30,
2018. The Port Angeles Municipal Code(PAMC)addressing electrical block permits states that:
A firm, corporation,or other entity which has a regularly employed electrical maintenance staff,
which is exempted from the requirement to have an electrician certificate of competency by
RCW.19.28.09 1, may choose to purchase a$1154.50 bi-annual electrical work permit for work done
by in-house electrical personnel rather than a work permit for each installation,or alteration in
accordance with the section. Work done by contractors shall not be included in this block permit.
The inspector will track work requested under the block permit until$1154.50 worth of fees is
reached, after which additional fees will be charged. Additional fees will be based on the published
fee schedule in Port Angeles Municipal Code 13.12.100.
On October 18,2011,the City Council adopted the new electrical permit fees with an effective date of
January 1, 2012. These new fees, which are less than those of the Department of Labor and industries,
provide for full cost recovery of service. Billing cycles are as follows:
