Special Notes and Comments
1. The City Archaeologist has reviewed the construction U0
plans and determined that the permitted ground disturbing
project is located at a shallow depth and in a location at
the toe of a man-made slope that is unlikely to contain
intact archaeological resources. Since the project is
unlikely to encounter archaeological resources given its
separation from soils designated with medium or high
archaeological probability; the work may proceed without an
on-site archaeological monitor or additional archaeological
investigation. The Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe Archaeologist
has also been notified of the project by the City
Archaeologist.
2. If any items suspected to be historical or
archaeological in nature are observed; the ground
disturbance must stop and the City Archaeologist must be
contacted for further direction before ground disturbing
work resumes.
3. The City Archaeologist may conduct a site visit to
inspect the ground disturbing actions. The City
Archaeologist must, therefore, be notified 48 hours prior to
the ground disturbing action (the water line trenching) via

null and void if work or construction authorized is not commenced within 180 days,if construction or work is suspended or abandoned

The water meter will be installed by City crews next week. After the water meter and service line to
your building is installed and inspected,you will need to have the service activated. To activate the
service go to the customer service center at City Hall.
