RE: 728 Caroline Street
This letter is in reference to your concerns about the use of your driveway at the above
referenced location. The use of your driveway would be a civil concern between two
property owners. The adjacent property to the west of yours is under the ownership of the
Anthony R. Galgano Family Trust, 715 Caroline Street.
I suggest that you contact the owners of the vacant lot and ask them to discontinue this
activity. Also you may want to consider placing some form of landscaping or a fence along
the west property line. If you choose to install a fence within the city's right of way, you will
need a right of way use permit from the Public Works & Utility Department. That portion of
the landscaping or fence placed adjacent to the driveway would be limited 30" in height.
I have enclosed a copy ofthe right of way use permit application. Feel free to contact me at
417-4807 if you have questions.
Sincerely,
J~~

Dear Sir or Ms:
We are the owners of the property at 728 Caroline Street in Port Angeles, which
we are currently using for a rental. We recently became aware that a gravel
vehicle pathway has been constructed along the west side of our property
through the vacant lot. Without our permission, our driveway is being used for
access to this path. The path is used as a shortcut connecting Caroline Street
with the alley to the south.
We are concerned about this situation because of its affect on property values,
quality of life for our renters, and the fact that, without an easement or
permission, our driveway is being used for this purpose. We plan to build a
better house on our property and move to Port Angeles in the future and do not
want the current situation to affect our plans.
We would appreciate your comments on how to resolve this situation.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
~~.~
