Lincoln St. Port Angeles, WA,98362 Attn: Donya Alward 360-417-5702 Donva.Alwardoa,cohoserv.com This alternate proposal was created to resolve certain issues which exist on the job which limit our ability to replace the existing equipment with new product of similar style and design. Due to the closeness of the duct penetrations to each other the manufacturers required service clearances can not be met without relocating one of the units. This may force the building department to require structural engineering and possible framing modifications which could greatly add to the project cost and delay the installation up to a month or more.The equipment in this alternate bid is the new inverter,variable speed type which is much less expensive to operate,has overall longer service life,is much quieter and the roof top heat pump coil is coated to resist salt air corrosion. We have reduced our markup on this product to bring it closer to the original bid however it will require some additional electrical wiring which is not included. Revised Alternate Proposa Scope of Work • Remove the existing 7.5 ton and the 5 ton roof top heat pumps and cap the ducts as required. • Install a"Daikin", 10 ton, variable speed, split system heat pump on the rooftop. This unit is factory coated to withstand salt air corrosion. • Install 4 - 2 1/2 ton capacity, Ceiling mounted, ductless indoor units, 2 in the south banquet room,2 inthe north banquet room. • Install a ducted air handler above the ceiling of the butlers pantry which will connect to the existing ductwork to heat and cool the foyer, bathrooms,storage room and butlers pantry. • Install 3—Navigation,temperature controllers,one in each banquet room and one in the foyer. They all need to be in the same mode at the same time(either heating or cooling). All of the indoor units will connect to the heat pump on the roof. A supply fan will mount on the rooftop and connect to the existing ductwork to provide fresh air to the spaces. It will be controlled by a CO 2 detector which will signal the fan to bring in fresh air as required when the room is sufficiently populated. An exhaust duct and hood will be installed to relieve the stale air to the outside. Clean the ducts which are still active in the system. includes crane and permits as fequired.
