The pu~ose of this expansion is to provide a weekday fa~e~s market to the citizens in and around downtown Pod Angeles and to be~me an eventual pa~ of downtown. Our pu~ose is to find a pe~anent structure in the downtown ama and we would like to show the value of a fa~em' manet this year in a downtown location. We will be paHicipating in a "Cooking at the Manet" presentation featuring our Io~1 chefs and Io~lly grown pmdu~. The Io~tion will be on Laurel Street be~een Fimt and Front Streets. The houm needed for street closure would ~ from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday's only. The houm of operation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., the additional houm would be needed for set up and tear down time. ~e dates of operation will be from June 19~ to October 9~. There is a bus stop on Laurel Street and Clallam Coun~ Transit has agreed to dive~ or set up a tem~m~ bus stop on Wednesdays dudng manet bourn. We would like to request that you allow us to use the previously submiEed SEPA checklist that we filled out in 2001. The same environmental issues apply and sin~ we had no infractions of any kind, we would kindly request that you grant us this. The manet has benefited the ~mmunity in many ways beaming a Io~1 pla~ to be on Saturday mornings. We would like to be a pad of the downtown energy and create another venue for farmem to offer their goods. We believe that we ~n add to the excitement. We would have a fire lane/emergency vehicle lane available at all times during the market and access to the alley. We should have no objectionable noises coming from the market (unless you count Kim's laugh)! The vendors would be situated on the street with lO'x 10' canopies side by side lining the east and west sides on Laurel street. On the south end of Laurel we will be holding our "Cooking at the Market" demo's featuring our local chefs and locally grown produce. On the north side we would be featuring some of our larger producers of produce. Klm Johns Market Coordinator Port Angeles Farmers' Market WASHINGTON, U.S.A.
