This temperature rise is a proxy for energy that will disrupt our way of life in ways we can only imagine - none to the good of our neighbors, children and generations to come. Setting aside the sociopaths who are willfully ignoring for their own gain the best scientific minds in the US and the world, the American public (especially the young) is getting wise to the reality that science is presenting. The scientific method that gives us our way of life from sanitation, roads, joint replacement, social media, weather forecasting , affordable transportation, hyper effective weapons and endless other comforts unheard of a century ago is one of study, rigor and transparency. If you think politics is cut throat, try publishing a scientific discovery in a reputable journal that is outside accepted knowledge without rigorous testing, analysis and peer review. Make a mistake in that world and your career is over. In 1993 congress mandated a climate assessment that addresses climatic impact on our way of life. The latest (4th) mandated update released last year is the effort of 65 lead scientists and supporting staff, nine government agencies and 15 universities. The science volume is condensed to 400+ pages. The impact volume divides the US into ten regions and discusses the everyday impact of the science results on our everyday life. The PA proposed draft work plan does not meet the need to drawdown our waste to limit climate warming to 1.5 degrees as stated in the Paris Climate Accord. Crudely put gentlemen, you cannot bullshit the laws of physics. The book of proverbs says a good man leaves a legacy to his children's children. Do the right thing. The citizens will follow your leadership. Bill Atkinson Port Angeles, WA
