CITY COUNCIL MEETING
Port Angeles, Washington
May 26, 2020
CALL TO ORDER SPECIAL MEETING
Mayor Dexter called the special meeting of the Pori.Angeles City Council to order at 5:00 p.m.
Members Present: Mayor Dexter, Deputy Mayor Carr, Council Members French, Meyer, McCaughan, Schromen-
Wawrin and Suggs.
Members Absent: None
Staff'Present: City Manager West,Attorney door, Clerk Martinez-Bailey, C. Delikat, K. Dubuc,B. Smith,
A.Brekke, 1'. Hunter, and S. Carrizosa.
WORK SESSION
Mayor Dexter welcomed the Council and spoke about how work session meetings are conducted. City Manager
Nathan West welcomed Council to the very first virtual work session.Manager West began by stating the work session
was an opportunity for Council to take a closer look at the budget document. Manager West shared it was an
opportunity for Council to make recommendations on the final preliminary Capital Facilities Plan(CFI)before it goes
to a public hearing, when members of the public will be able to weigh in. Manager West shared there would be
opportunities for the public to share their comments.
Manager West encouraged Council to provide feedback in time for the final adoption in July 2020. lie emphasized
that the CFI included plans for 2020 and beyond. Manager West asked if'Council choose to add projects to the list,
that they also remove items of'similar magnitude as to not overload staff. Ile turned the meeting over to Finance
Director Sarina Carrizosa who shared a CFI PowerPoint presentation. Staff took a moment to speak to specific
projects on the plan. Council discussion followed.
ADJOURNMENT
Mayor Dexter adjourned the meeting at 6:55 p.m.
