HomeMy WebLinkAboutJt CC and UAC Minutes JOINT MEETING Port Angeles City Council and the Port Angeles Utility Advisory Committee Port Angeles, Washington May 8, 2019 CALL TO ORDER SPECIAL MEETING Counci line m ber and Chair Kidd called the special meeting of the Port Angeles City Council to order at 3:00 p,ni. ROLL CALL Roll Call for Utility Advisory Committee: Chair Kidd,Deputy Mayor Dexter, Councilmember Schromen-Wawrin, Mattias Jarvegren participated by conference call,and Rob Feller. Members Absent; Vice Chair Bill Atkinson, Paul Collins, and Laura Dodd Roll Call for City Council: Mayor Bruch; Council nember French (arrived at 3:05 pm.). Members Absent: Councilmembers Moran and Merideth. Staff Presenv City Manager West, Attorney Bloor, Clerk Martinez-bailey„ G, Good oath, , Carrizosa, M. Bodart, S. Shere, K, Hancy,and MS, French, PUBLIC COMMENT Chair Kidd opened the public coniment period, There being no corrinients,Chair Kidd closed the comment period. SPECIAL MEETING Chair Kidd opened the joint meeting. City Manager Nathan West provided the purpose of the meeting, for the Council and the Utility Advisory Board (L)AC)to review an Electric Cost of Service Analysis presentation provided by Senior Accountant Glen Goodworth. Manager West spoke to UPCOrning meeting modifications,saying the meetings would provide an opportunity for the UAC to look over the models arid allow for more discussion. fie said the extra time would allow the opportunity for info to be shared with both the City Council and the UAC and to have final discussions on the CO SA. Acting public Works,Director Shailesh Shere assisted by answering questions on phasing, Council and committee followed, Chair Kidd checked in with Mr.Mrvegren to note he was still on the conference call. Mr. Jarvegren affirmed fie was still connected. Manager noted there was quorum for both City Council and Utility Advisory Committee. ADJOURNMENT Chair Kidd adjourned the meeting at 4:56 p.m. Clerk's note: It was announced a May 2 Webinar would be coming up for aft end�ance and the next UAC meeting would be held May 14 for the Council and UAC to conduct an Electric COSA review.
