Mayor Dexter called the special meeting of the Port Angeles City Council to order at 5:00 p.tm
Members Present: Mayor Dexter, Deputy Mayor Carr, Council Members French, McCaughan, Meyer, Schrornen-
Wawrin and Suggs.
Members Absent: None.

City, Manager Nathan West opened the meeting, and provided the goals of the Council work session, fie stated
Madrona I"aw Group code work focused on all sections of code except land use,titles and chapters. fie clarified those:
sections dealt with the building of residential capacity and told Council information could be, found on the City's
website relative to MAKERS work on those sections. City Attorney William Bloor said the code audit addresses two
aspects,the substantive portions-what the City chooses to regulate or not to regulate and Councils interest in Making
the code easy to read and use,
Ann Marie and Rachel Turpin of Madrona Law Group presented the public survey results,spoke about the next steps
of the process, including the upcoming code enforcement ordinance that would soon come before Council, and
discussed next steps in the code audit process. Council discussion 'fol,lowed,
