They were permitted a right of way use permit last Oct. for additional parking during their re-model. Would we consider issuing another right of way permit to the Federal Government to use these spaces on a yearly basis? Per his proposal the south end of Oak Street hillside area would need to be cleared of brush, parking stalls delineated, and parking signs installed. Mr. Hall said they would want the maintenance and any parking enforcement to be the City's responsibility. How do we want to handle this? Would this be an application that needs to go before the property management committee, or just thru the regular channels as a right of way use permit application? Any work performed would be charged to the applicant. Sorry. I was in HTE all last week and this is the first I've had to respond. If the proponents want more parking, they will have to be responsible for the creation of that off-site parking. I don't necessarily see that there would be much maintenance, the area is cleared regularly anyway. But, they would need to maintain the bank which would be somewhat cleared for them to park.
