I applied for a demolition permit t# 09- 302)and a building permit 09 -303) last April and then experienced a long period of being laid off making it financially difficult to afford the matenals. My wife accepted a job in Neah Bay to support our family and I stayed with her and cared for our three young children. Because her work is so far away and we spend much of our time in Neah Bay, I have had limited time to devote to the project. I recently started working again and now the date of expiration on our building permit has suddenly crept up and we've made very little progress on the project. I fully plan to build a garage at our home and now must apply for an extension. The cost of renewing the permit will further hinder our efforts to improve our home; I would like to request that this fee be waived.
