RE: Upper Golf Course sanitary sewer L.I.D. 215 connection
This letter is in regards to the above referenced sanitary sewer construction project completed
in 1998. At the time of construction, letters were mailed to each property owner regarding
sanitary (hook up) connection and sanitary system user fees. The sanitary system user fee is
a one time fee for all new connections to the city's sanitary sewer and is separate from the
L.I.D. assessment.
In reviewing the Public Works permits for this project, your address did not reflect the
issuance of a permit nor a request for side sewer lateral inspection to service your residence.
As stated in earlier correspondence, connection to the new sanitary sewer was not mandatory.
At the time of construction, Public Works waived the sanitary sewer connection hookup fee
until May 1, 1998. The current fees for the sewer (hook up) connection is $95.00 and
$745.00 for the system user fee.
You have recently hired a contractor to connect your home to the new sewer lateral but have
not been issued a permit, please bring this letter and the above referenced fees to the
Department of Community Development and a permit will be issued at the counter. I will
send notification of the recent sewer connection and septic drainage abandonment to the
Clallam County Environmental Health Department.
