March 16, 2012 Re: extension of building permit To whom it may concern: I applied for and received a building permit for a remodel of my home, 3747 Canyon Circle. As the homeowner, I took on the responsibility for completing the wiring portion of the project. In August of 2011, I sustained a back injury that ultimately necessitated surgery on December 13 of 2011. The back injury in August prevented me from finishing the final circuit for wiring. The unfinished wiring prevented me from requesting my final building inspection. In the intervening months, my building permit has expired. I'm writing to request a 6 -month extension of my permit. I'm confident that I can complete the final wiring circuit by July 1 which would allow me to call for my final wiring inspection, followed by the final building inspection.
