The permit extension will expire on July 27, 2012. As you know, we worked in good faith last year by giving you a temporary certificate of occupancy to allow you to purchase and finish the house which was started in 1994, with the understanding that the finish work would be completed in a timely manner. This has not been done. We have no record that the mechanical, plumbing, or building work has been completed. Two inspections are required for the gas appliance: a gas line inspection; and an inspection once the appliance has been installed. Your action on this permit will determine our response. It is important for you to understand that once this permit expires, you will no longer be able to occupy the home, as the life safety elements of the home remain incomplete. An outdoor metal staircase needs certain modifications to bring it up to code. In order to do this properly, the outdoor temperatures need to be warmer. We are fully committed to comple ing the requested modifications and expect to do this when spring time temperatures go to 60- degrees and above in the next few weeks. Thank you for your patience.
