RE: Drainage concerns on Doyle Road
This letter is in regards to your concerns about stornl drainagc issues in the Doylc Road area.
On November 22, the Public Works & Utilities engineering field inspector met with the
owner of the property that is lying south ofHwy ]01 and west of Doyle Road.
It appears that the access road onto this property from Doyle Road has been in place for
several years. Until a development plan is established for this property and a pennanent
access is identified, the installation of a culvert across the access road would not serve any
purpose. Installation of a culvert across the access road would also hinder the established
stonn drainage flow into the pond on the east side of Doyle Road.
It appears that the existing roadside ditch south of the access road is in a natural (overgrown)
vegetated state. The property owner has been instructed to not to disturb this area. The
property owner is aware of the drainage around his site and will not be making any flow
changes. Any maintenance of the existing ditches would be completed by City forces on an
as needed basis.
