Tentative Agreement This Tentative Agreement is entered into by and between city of Port Angeles and Teamsters Local #589 covering the following Police Department employees: Communications Officer, Parking Enforcement Officer, Animal Control Officer, Communications and Police Records supervisors and Police Records Specialists to be effective January 1, 1994, through December 31, 1996. 1. Language in prior contract shall be incorporated in the current contract, except as modified herein. 2. All tentative agreements between the parties prior to May 26, 1994, shall remain in full force and effect. 3. The term of the contract shall be January 1, 1994, through December 31, 1996. 4. Wage adjustments: Effective January 1, 1994, a 2.7% increase shall be applied to each job classification wage rate. Effective January 1, 1995, each job classification wage rate shall be increased by 90% of the percentage increase in the Seattle CPI -W 2nd hal f series ("W") published February 1995. Effective January 1, 1996, each job classification wage rate shall be increased by 90% of the percentage increase in the Seattle CPI-W 2nd half service ("W") published February of 1996. 5. For the period January 1, 1994, through June 30, 1994, the City agrees to provide employees and their eligible dependents medical and prescription benefit coverage through the AWC Health Plan A. Effective July 1, 1994 (based on June hours), the contract shall provide for Teamsters Health and Welfare JC #28 XL Plan to replace the current AWC Health Plan A. The Employer shall pay 100% of the premium cost of the Teamsters medical plan through December 31, 1994. The City shall continue to pay the premium for Teamsters Dental Plan E and current Teamsters vision plan for the term of the agreement. 6.' Article IV Compensation - section B Overtime Compensation 1. Shall be modified by deleting "except change in daylight savings time will not affect this Agreement" and adding City's proposed language for daylight savings time as set forth on p. 3 of 1/26/94 negotiation issues non-sworn bargaining unit. 7. Delete paragraph 4 f. Use of sick leave referencing the $100 per week benefit. 8. Union will withdraw pending health and welfare grievance. 9. Union will recommend to membership withdrawal of pending unit clarification petition filed with PERC in which the Union proposed to sever the non-sworn bargaining unit into two units. 10. Union and its negotiating committee will recommend acceptance of this tentative agreement to the bargaining unit. 11. Representatives of the City will recommend acceptance of this tentative agreement to the City Council.
