After meeting with the developer today the Fire Department does not have an issue with the access on the north side of the building and we have no requirement for a mid-point emergency access,so there should not be any reason,from the Fire Department perspective,to not issue the permit for the next building(s). Heckman Melody Lane condos When I originally met with Mark,it appeared that the road on the north side was there as an emergency vehicle access road. If that was the case,then the turn-around or through access would have been required. After looking at the site plan with Craig,it is clear that the road is actually a driveway and that from a fire department perspective,the buildings would have been allowed even if that driveway was not there at all. We can access all sides of the buildings from the south,so our needs are met. Contact the Fire Department at 417-4653 for ordering information and mounting location. 4) Doors leading to rooms containing fire sprinkler riser and fire alarm control panel must be labeled. "FACP" and "Sprinkler Valves." 5) Fire extinguishers in cabinets are required at each level. Only one per level is required.
