HomeMy WebLinkAbout000299 Original ContractThe OPNET policy board has agreed that each participating agency will receive funds for their employee that is assigned to the program full time for the first six months of 2012. The participating agencies are defined as the Port Angeles Police Department, the Clallam County Sheriff's Office, Sequim Police Department and the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office. In addition, in 2011, the policy board voted to provide a payment to the Clallam County prosecutor for services in a marijuana case. This payment will also be made in the first half of 2012 In furtherance of this agreement, the following is understood by the participating agencies: After January 1, 2012, funds to pay the agreed upon $20,000 per agency are reimbursed through a combination of the grant process and the drug fund balance. The $20,000 payment will be made to each of the participating law enforcement agencies. In addition, the Clallam County Prosecutors Office will receive a payment of $30,000 for the services described above. No billing for the funding is necessary. OPNET further agrees to pay for each named participants overtime costs incurred while conducting OPNET cases. These costs are for the agencies named as participants only plus the Washington State Patrol Detective. Assistance from a participating department's officers or deputies that are not permanently assigned to OPNET will not be reimbursed for overtime costs unless funding is available. Overtime costs incurred by the participants must be billed monthly to the Clallam County Sheriff's Office. Again, grant contract requirements involve a reimbursement process requiring prompt billing for funds to be available. Overtime billings received later than 60 days after the incurrence of the overtime are in danger of not being paid.
