CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />Port Angeles, Washington <br />February 5, 2019 <br />CALL TO ORDER SPECIAL MEETING <br />Mayor Bruch called the special meeting of the Port Angeles City Council to order at 5:00 p.m. <br />Members Present: Mayor Bruch; Deputy Mayor Dexter; Councilmembers French, Kidd, Moran, and Schromen- <br />Wawrin. <br />Members Absent: Councilmember Merideth. <br />Staff Present: City Manager West, Attorney Bloor, Clerk Martinez -Bailey, S. Carrizosa, J. Burke, B. Smith, K. Dubuc, <br />and C. Delikat. <br />Washington State Department of Transportation Assistant Regional Administrator Steve Roark provided an update <br />on the status of the US 101 Elwha River Bridge replacement project and presented a PowerPoint presentation that <br />outlined the project and timeline. <br />The Mayor invited the audience to ask questions to the presenters. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />Mayor Bruch adjourned the Special Meeting at 5:21 p.m. <br />CALL TO ORDER -REGULAR MEETING <br />Mayor Bruch called the regular meeting of the Port Angeles City Council to order at 6:00 p.m. <br />ROLL CALL <br />Members Present: Mayor Bruch, Deputy Mayor Dexter, Councilmembers French, Kidd, Merideth, Moran, and <br />Schromen-Wawrin. <br />Members Absent: Councilmember Merideth. <br />Staff Present: City Manager West, Attorney Bloor, Clerk Martinez -Bailey, C. Delikat, K. Dubuc, B. Smith, <br />A. Brekke, J. Burke, and S. Carrizosa. <br />It was moved by Kidd and seconded by Dexter to: <br />Excuse Councilmember Merideth from the meeting. <br />Motion carried 6-0. <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br />Mayor Bruch led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br />Tyson Minck, residing outside city limits, spoke about the arrest of Devon Gray and presented a signed petition asking <br />for the City to drop charges. <br />Elizabeth Dunne, Port Angeles, spoke about the sequoia tree removed from Lion's Park. <br />Glenn Roggenbuck, city resident, spoke about the positive work of the Parks Department and Port Angeles Police <br />Department during the tree removal process. <br />
